Thomas Fulfer's profile

Columbia College Chicago: Fabrication Facility

The Fabrication Facility houses some incredible state-of-the-art equipment (laser cutters, 3D printers, wood & metal power tools, etc.) for students, faculty and staff to take advantage of. During my time as a student at Columbia College Chicago, I was able to implement a branding and identity package for the newly renovated facility in the 623 S. Wabash Ave. building.

In doing so, I was sure to implement the College's standards at the time (typography and color use, etc.) and generate a unique yet recognizable mark for the facility. Since developing the package, the identity created has been implemented in many ways holding true to the original idea.

Also within this opportunity, I was able to create safety sheets for stationary power tools implementing visual references of pictograms for easy understanding. This entire package was then delivered with various data and statistics of usage in the form of a saddle-stitched booklet to show off the facility to administration, faculty and staff throughout the rest of the college.
